Don co-founded Advanced Powder Products (APP) in 2000. Don holds B.S., M.S., and PhD degrees from Penn State University in Engineering and Materials Science. Don previously held manufacturing engineering positions with 3M and Bristol Myers Squibb and then returned to Penn State as a Research Associate and Director at the Center for Innovative Sintered Products. He is the co-founder and leader of APP. He is a world-known authority in metal powder processing having been elected to the 2021 class of ASM Fellows (ASM is the world’s largest and most established materials information society). He holds multiple patents, has published over 100 papers and book chapters on materials processing, and has edited two editions of The Handbook of Metal Injection Molding."
