Our rapidly growing technology company is hiring a part time QC Technician! For over two decades, Advanced Powder Products, Inc. (APP) has been developing and manufacturing complex net-shape components using metal injection molding (MIM) and 3D metal printing technologies for the firearms, medical, industrial and defense industries. Our proprietary technologies, ProtoMIM® and Printalloy® position APP as the first choice for some of the largest original equipment manufacturers (OEM) in the country. We design, engineer and produce metal components that improve the performance of our clients’ medical devices, hand tools, military and defense industries, and sporting goods.

Job Characteristics:

  • Focus on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures
  • Requires patience and willingness to handle and complete task, usually one at a time
  • Work output must be precise and consistent
  • Work is steady, methodical and job routines must be completed on time and error-free
  • Work is technical with analytical focus

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process, and final dimensional visual inspections on products
  • Perform work in quality lab and on the production floor
  • Record and enter data from inspections into statistical process control software as needed
  • Work with supervision to assess compliance to the product requirements
  • Perform density, carbon, and hardness measurements
  • Assist with daily shipment organization and packaging
  • Assist with FAI and report preparation

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or 1-year manufacturing experience
  • Proficient use of basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, drop gages, optical comparator)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
  • Must be safety conscious and present self in a clean, well-kept manner
  • Orderly and responsible with equipment and work area
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds
